This 2-day tour starts in Athens and finishes back in the same city, offering a perfect blend of history and stunning landscapes. You’ll journey through charming villages and visit the ancient Archaeological Site of Delphi, nestled on Mount Parnassus’s slopes. The highlight is exploring Meteora’s breathtaking monasteries perched atop towering rock formations – a truly unique sight. Along the way, you’ll pass through scenic towns like Thebes and Trikala, with a brief stop at the historic Thermopylae to glimpse Leonidas’s Monument. It’s a compact trip packed with cultural gems and spectacular views, ideal for those wanting a quick yet memorable escape.

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Athens

    We depart Athens and travel through Thebes, Levadia and the charming village of Arachova, nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. Upon arrival in Delphi, we explore the Archaeological Site, rich in ancient history. Afterwards, we continue to Kalambaka, passing through scenic villages and towns of Central Greece. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay in Kalambaka.

  • Day 2

    Kalabaka

    After breakfast, we visit Meteora to explore its remarkable monasteries perched atop towering rock formations. These ancient sites hold significant historical and religious treasures and offer stunning views where earth meets sky. We then return to Athens, travelling through Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae, where we pause briefly to view the Leonidas Monument from across the road. Arrival in Athens is scheduled for early evening.
