Summary
Discover Morocco’s imperial cities and coastal gems on this nine-day journey, starting and ending in Casablanca. You’ll travel north to Tangier before heading to Fes, where a guided tour reveals the Royal Palace, ancient medina and bustling souks. Continue via Rabat to vibrant Marrakech, the “Pearl of the South”, with visits to the Menara Gardens, Bahia Palace and lively Jemaa el-Fna Square. Enjoy time at leisure to explore at your own pace, alongside some included dinners and guided sightseeing. The tour wraps up back in Casablanca with a panoramic city tour before departure.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Casablanca
Arrival at the airport, followed by transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Dinner is included depending on your arrival time.
Day 2
Tangier at Leisure
Casablanca - Tangier. After breakfast, we travel north to Tangier, the gateway between Africa and Europe. On arrival, you have free time to explore at your own pace.
Day 3
Travel to Fes
Tangier - Fes. We depart for Fes via Larache, once one of the principal cities of the former Spanish Protectorate. Dinner provided on arrival in Fes.
Day 4
Explore Fes
After breakfast, we explore Fes, regarded as Morocco’s religious and spiritual heart. Founded in the 8th century by Idriss II, it is one of the country’s four imperial cities.
Our guided visit, which involves several hours of walking, includes the exterior of the Royal Palace, the Jewish Quarter and the medina, entered through the famous Bab El Jeloud gate. Behind its ancient walls lies a UNESCO-listed old city of narrow, winding streets, traditional souks and centuries-old craftsmanship, where daily life continues much as it has for generations.
Day 5
Visit Rabat & Transfer to Marrakech
Fes - Rabat - Marrakech. Today we are departing for Rabat, Morocco’s administrative and diplomatic capital. We visit the city’s key landmarks, including the exterior of the Royal Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower. We then continue south to Marrakech.
Day 6
Explore Marrakech
Discover Marrakech, often known as the Pearl of the South.
We begin at the Menara Gardens, with their olive groves and pavilion set against the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains. We continue to the exterior of the Koutoubia Minaret, an architectural reference point for Seville’s Giralda, before visiting the Bahia Palace, a fine example of 19th-century Moroccan architecture.
Our tour ends in Jemaa el-Fna Square - the vibrant heart of the city and the gateway to the souks. We stroll through the traditional quarters of woodworkers, potters, leather artisans and spice merchants. Lunch is included at the hotel.
The afternoon is free for you to explore further at your own pace. In the evening, you may choose to join an optional traditional dinner and Fantasia folklore show under caidal tents at Chez Ali.
Day 7
Marrakech at Leisure
The day is at leisure for you to relax or continue exploring the city independently.
Day 8
Casablanca City Tour
Marrakech - Casablanca. After breakfast, we return to Casablanca. On arrival, we enjoy a panoramic tour of Morocco’s largest city, including the exterior of the Hassan II Grand Mosque, Boulevard de la Corniche and United Nations Square.
Day 9
Goodbye Casablanca
Breakfast at the hotel followed by transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
