Summary

Want to experience Bucket-List Bali and spend your days exploring the lush countryside and dreamy islands.... of course! Experience the indescribable vibe that nowhere else in Asia has travelling with a small group of like-minded, fun adventurers and your guide. On this tour you'll experience the cool surf town of Canggu (hitting the waves yourself) cook up a storm and climb a mountain in Ubud and island hop between idyllic spots stopping to snorkel with mantas on the way. You'll be on the go a lot of the time to see all the amazing things that Bali has to offer - but there's always plenty of stops to take it all in and pool at every hotel so you'll be able to kick back and relax too. With great hotels and loads of inclusions, this is our teams favourite shorter Bali Trip.

Itinerary

  • Day 1

Arriving into the Land of the Gods

Welcome to the Island of the Gods! Day 1 of our trip is the welcome day. We will pick you up from the airport and cruise down to the bustling hub of Canggu to meet the rest of the group. Check-in at the awesome Frii Hotel and have an afternoon Bintang by the pool or if you are feeling the effects of your long flight, have a quick siesta. Just before sundown, we will stroll down to the beach to catch your first epic Bali sunset!

  • Day 2

    Ubud - Waterfalls, Rice fields

Today we head to the beautiful area of Ubud. We will visit the towering Uma Anya waterfalls, pack a towel if you want to have a refreshing dip! Next up the famous Ubud rice terraces and maybe jump on the swing. End the day with a tranquil sundown drink in the rooftop infinity pool.

  • Day 3

Ubud – Local Market, Cooking Class

No trip to Ubud would be complete without haggling at the local market to get that Bali Bag! We will go down straight after breakfast as this is the best time to catch a deal, the earlier the better! Mid-afternoon we will be off to fire up some woks and cook our dinner at a traditional Balinese cooking class. This is a really special experience cooking in an open kitchen in the middle of rice fields

  • Day 4

    Mt Batur, Monkey Forrest

For all the keen hikers it will be an early start for you today. Time to catch one of the best sunrises of your life on top of Mt Batur. Watch the sun shimmer its way through the low-lying clouds below you. If mountain climbing or early mornings isn’t your thing then enjoy a sleep-in back in Ubud. After lunch, it is time to get the bananas ready as we go and visit Monkey Forest, watch out they can be cheeky

  • Day 5

    Onto Gili Trawangan

Time for greener pastures or should we say bluer waters. Today, island hop to the spectacular Gili islands and you'll cruise in style on the fast boat. Once you arrive in Gilli T, get checked into your guest house and make your way to the beach with your group to get that famous Gili T sunset swing shot! Once the sun goes down the Gili T nightlife ramps up - try a couple ‘joss shots’ and dance the night away in the many beach bars.

  • Day 6

    Cruising the Gilis

All aboard as you take a private boat for a tour of the 3 Gili islands. Kick that hangover in the butt by diving into the crystal clear tropical waters whilst turtle spotting and exploring the stunning underwater world. Once back on Gili T, you'll jump on bicycles for a leisurely pedal around the island to take in the stunning views.

  • Day 7

    Island Life

Today say goodbye to the Gili Islands, as you will be making your way to the relatively unexplored island of Nusa Lembongan. Have the morning in Gili T to enjoy a lazy brunch or another cycle around before the boat leaves around lunch time. Arrive in time to watch another amazing sunset from the legendary Devils Tear viewpoint on Nusa Lembongan.

  • Day 8

    Snorkels and Surf

What better way to start the day then by snorkeling with Manta Rays?! Then as if it couldn't get better after lunch you can learn to surf in paradise! Forget those other surf schools over in Bali, ride the crystal clear swell of Nusa Lembongan! You'll learn the basics on the sand with a qualified surf instructor before paddling out to the famous ‘Playgrounds’ break. Don’t worry you won’t be alone - Your instructor will be right there next to you helping you glide onto the best waves. After sunset, head out for a group dinner at another fave restaurant which serves western meals as well as classic Indonesian cuisine. Tonight your guide will also help to start to plan your onward travel.

  • Day 9

    Beaches of Nusa Penida

Today will sadly be our final full day of the trip. However, we have saved the best for last! Nusa Penida!! We take in the Mangroves before making our way to Nusa Penida. Take iconic photos high above Kelingking Beach & Billabong Beach. After lunch, we will go and chill at the wonderful Crystal Bay. Then back to Nusa Lembongan before catching one last incredible sunset together. Tonight we will have a group meal and reminisce over all the photos from the week before heading out for one last drink together.

  • Day 10

    Goodbyes!

Today it's sadly time to say goodbye as you go your separate ways - hopefully not many tears will be shed as you get one last group photo. You'll take the ferry back to Bali and then a transfer to the airport, or any nearby hotel if you're staying on, is included.

  • Alex was a great host. He fitted in very well with the group and everything along the way was organized. The tour was great as you stay in 1 hotel for a few nights, so less moving around. Lots of great things to do and see with some free time to explore on your own.

  • This tour was amazing, it covered all the places in Bali we wanted to see and the tour guide Alex was very helpful recommending places we should go in our down time.

Frequently asked questions

  • I understand the arrival transfer is included, but can you organise the return transfer back to the airport and how much will it be?

The tour finishes in Nusa Lemongan and you are free to leave at any time. The first ferry leaves Nusa Lemongan at 8am and your included ferry ticket also includes a taxi back to the airport once you get off the boat. Your Group Leader can help organise your return back to the airport for you when you are there.
  • What's the earliest I can book my return flight home?

The first boat back from Nusa Lemongan is at 8am. After the boat ride, it takes on average 1 hour to get from the marina to the airport, so we would recommend not booking a flight any earlier than 1pm.
  • If I arrive earlier than the tour start date can I still use the included airport transfer?

You can still use the included transfer if you arrive the day before. If you arrive any earlier then we can still arrange a transfer for you, however it will be at a cost of 250,000IDR which will need to be paid locally to the driver.
  • Can you book extra nights at the beginning of the trip and how much will it be?

We recommend booking the same hotel the tour starts in which is the Frii Hotel, Echo Beach. If you wish to book extra nights please contact us. Please be advised that if you have not booked the single room option for the trip, you may need to check out, and check back into a twin room for the start of your trip.
  • What time do we need to arrive for day 1?

We recommend not to arrive any later than 1pm local time. This allows time for you to be collected from the airport and taken to the hotel where you can get ready to meet the group at the reception of the hotel at 5.30pm.
  • How much spending money do I need?

Roughly 200-300GBP, unless you buy a lot of beer or souvenirs!
  • My passport expires soon?

You must have a valid passport with at least 6 months left before expiry and one clear full page.
  • Do I need travel insurance?

To be allowed on the tour you must have travel insurance for the time you are on the trip. You will be asked for a printed copy of this by your group leader on arrival. You will not be permitted on the tour if you cannot produce a printed copy.
