European hotels may have older architecture, and rooms/bathrooms can be small.
  • What is the physical rating for this tour?

This trip has a physical rating of 2. You should be able to climb small steep ladders, walk over a wooden plank without a handrail when boarding/disembarking, physically carry your own luggage, climb in and out of inflatable tenders, and comfortably move around the yacht while it is sailing and moving in waves.

Most dinners during the sailing week will be taken ashore at local restaurants.
  • Who will be leading the tour?

Transportation includes a 16m (52 ft) sailing yacht, other boats, private bus, 4x4 vehicles, and walking.
  • What is the policy for solo travelers?

Single travelers are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip, so there is no single supplement for group trips.
  • What is the minimum age required to join this trip?

You must be 18 to travel unaccompanied. For minors travelling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.

  • Are there any specific health considerations for this tour?

People who are sensitive to seasickness should come prepared. There is no constant power source on board the sailboat, so devices like Sleep Apnea/CPAP machines cannot be facilitated without bringing a suitable battery pack. It is recommended to consult your travel doctor for up-to-date medical travel information and inoculations well before departure.
  • How much fresh water is available on the sailboat?

Fresh water is very limited on board, so showers are restricted to one quick shower per person per day.
  • Can the tour itinerary change?

  • Will I have opportunities to do laundry during the trip?
