Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Athens

    On arrival at Athens airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the city. Athens offers a selection of exceptional hotels, and this package includes some of the finest. Once you have settled in, you can spend the remainder of the day at your leisure—either exploring the vibrant streets of Athens at your own pace or enjoying the amenities available at the hotel.   • Day 2

    Athens

    After breakfast, enjoy a full day at your leisure in Athens. This is an ideal opportunity to explore the city at your own pace—whether wandering through its vibrant neighbourhoods, visiting local cafés, or simply relaxing at your hotel. Overnight in Athens.

  • Day 3

    Athens

    After breakfast, we leave Athens and travel along the coastal road to the Corinth Canal, where we pause briefly to admire the views. Continuing on, we visit the impressive Theatre of Epidauros, renowned for its exceptional acoustics. Next, we stop in the charming town of Nauplion for a short photo opportunity before heading to Mycenae. Here, we explore the archaeological site, including the Tomb of Agamemnon. Finally, we drive through the central Peloponnese, passing the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis, before arriving in Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Upon arrival, we check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 4

    Olympia

    After breakfast, we visit the Archaeological Site featuring the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum. Following this morning of history and exploration, we drive through the plains of Elis and Achaia, crossing the impressive bridge spanning the Corinthian Gulf from Rion to Antirion. We pass the charming towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea before arriving in Delphi, once considered the centre of the world in ancient mythology. Set against a stunning landscape, the sanctuary here holds great historical significance. Upon arrival, we check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 5

    Delphi

    After breakfast, we visit the Archaeological Site and Museum of Delphi. Here, you can admire a remarkable collection of artefacts, including the unique bronze statue of the Charioteer, dedicated to Apollo by Polyzalos. Following the visit, we travel to Kalambaka, a small town nestled at the base of Meteora’s extraordinary rock formations. These towering pillars create a striking, almost otherworldly landscape. Upon arrival, we check in to the hotel, where dinner is served before you settle in for the night.

  • Day 6

    Kalabaka

    After breakfast, we explore the dramatic landscape of Meteora, where ancient monasteries perch atop towering rock pillars. We visit two of these remarkable monasteries to admire their impressive collections of Byzantine art. Afterwards, we begin the journey back to Athens, travelling through Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae. Here, we pause briefly to see the Monument of Leonidas, commemorating the Spartan king. We arrive in Athens early evening and check in to the hotel for the night.

  • Day 7

    Athens

    After breakfast, join an expert guide for a sightseeing tour of Athens. Explore the city centre, including Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. On the way to the Acropolis, pass Hadrian’s Arch and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Pause briefly at the Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first Modern Olympic Games in 1896. At the Acropolis, visit the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion and the iconic Parthenon—masterpieces from Athens’ Golden Age. Complete the morning with a visit to the Acropolis Museum, a contemporary building housing many original statues. After the tour, enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Athens.

    Athens

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Athens airport for your onward flight. The transfer time will be arranged to suit your departure schedule, ensuring a smooth end to your journey.
