Summary

Embark on a coach tour through northern Spain in just 4 days, beginning in Madrid and travelling to the elegant coastal town of San Sebastian. Continue to Bilbao to admire the exterior of the Guggenheim Museum, then enjoy some leisure time in the charming city of Santander. Experience the historical allure of Santillana del Mar and the Shrine at Covadonga, then soak up the enchanting atmosphere of Salamanca’s Plaza Mayor before concluding your adventure back in Madrid.

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Madrid to Zaragoza & San Sebastian

    Madrid - Zaragoza - San Sebastian. We leave Barcelona behind at 8:00 a.m., heading northwest to the historic city of Zaragoza. After a brief stop to stretch our legs and admire some of its notable landmarks, we continue through the scenic landscapes of Aragon and the Basque Country, arriving by evening in elegant San Sebastian. Set on the sweeping La Concha Bay, this coastal gem is famed for its culinary scene and Belle Époque charm. We enjoy dinner together before settling in for the night.

    Please note: This tour is bi-lingual, and will be conducted in Spanish as well as in English.

    Meeting Point: C. de Ferraz, 3, Moncloa - Aravaca, 28008 Madrid at 8:00.

  • Day 2

    Bilbao & Santander

    San Sebastian - Bilbao - Santander. Enjoy breakfast before we depart for Bilbao, the capital of the province of Vizcaya. We make a brief stop to admire the architecture of the Guggenheim Museum before continuing our journey to Santander, where there is free time to explore.

  • Day 3

    Santillana del Mar, Covadonga & Oviedo

    Santander - Santillana del Mar - Covadonga - Oviedo. Enjoy breakfast before departing for Santillana del Mar, a medieval village renowned as a National Monument. As we journey through stunning landscapes, we will reach Covadonga, where you will have free time to explore the Shrine. Our trip continues on to Oviedo, where we will have dinner and stay overnight.

  • Day 4

    Salamanca & Madrid

    Oviedo - Salamanca - Madrid. Today we'll depart Oviedo for Salamanca, where we'll make a brief stop to admire the renowned Plaza Mayor and its historic old quarters. We then complete our journey back to Madrid, where our tour comes to an end.

    You will dropped on Ferraz Street, near the Plaza de Espana at approximately 17:30, though this time is subject to external factors such as traffic and passenger delays.
