Itinerary
Day 1
Olympos to Gokkaya Bay
Olympos (Demre) - Gokkaya Bay. Our relaxing sailing trip starts with a pick up in Olympos at 13:00 - please ensure you arrive the day before your cruise starts. Alternatively you can meet us at Demre Harbour at 14:30.
Once the group and crew have all gathered at the harbour, we’ll board our traditional Turkish gulet and set sail at 15:00 towards Turtle Beach, a natural nesting ground for the Caretta Caretta sea turtles, which often glide beside the boat. We take our first refreshing swim here, or you can simply relax on deck as the coastline opens up around us. After five-o’clock tea, we continue towards Buzaglik Bay or Camlik Bay, both calm and scenic anchorages known for clear water and soft afternoon light, ideal for paddleboarding, reading, or simply enjoying some quiet time.
As the sun begins to lower, we pass Pirates Cave and pause for photos while the cliffs glow in the early-evening light. We then anchor in the peaceful Gokkaya Bay area for the night, where dinner is served on deck under the stars, accompanied by gentle music, easy conversation, and the soothing sound of the sea. The whole afternoon sets a relaxed, coastal tone that welcomes you into the unhurried rhythm of gulet cruising, and it is worth keeping your camera ready near Turtle Beach, as sea turtles are often spotted swimming alongside the gulet.
Day 2
Simena, Kekova & Kas
Gokkaya Bay - Simena - Kekova - Kas. We wake in Hamidiye Bay as sunlight spills gently over the cliffs, enjoying breakfast on deck with a coffee in hand and the option of a quiet morning swim before the day begins. After breakfast, a short dinghy ride takes us to the hilltop village of Simena, or Kaleköy, where you can follow the stone paths up to Simena Castle for panoramic views across the Kekova archipelago. It is well worth trying the homemade ice cream made by local villagers here, a simple treat made all the better by the view.
Back on board, we glide above the Sunken City of Kekova, where ancient Lycian ruins rest just below the surface, creating an almost otherworldly scene as history shimmers beneath the gulet. From here we continue to Tersane Bay, once an ancient shipyard and now a quiet turquoise cove that is ideal for swimming and snorkelling.
Depending on sea conditions, the captain may anchor at Aperlai, Inonu, or Ufakdere Bay for a relaxed lunch stop, with calm waters, good food, and the steady rhythm of life at sea. By afternoon we sail into Kas, one of the Turkish Riviera’s most charming small towns, where you have free time to wander the cobbled streets, browse small boutiques, or enjoy a cold drink by the harbour. Scuba diving is available here for those who want it, and Kas is known as Turkey’s diving capital thanks to its exceptional visibility.
Also today, enjoy an included cooking class, where you can whip up local dishes like Turkish Manti, Sigara Boregi (Turkish Cheese Rolls), and Turkish Spoon Salad in a relaxed setting.
As evening approaches, we anchor nearby at Limanagzi Bay or Hidayet Bay. You can swim at sunset before joining us for a quiet dinner on deck and watching the coastline glow as night settles over the water. The early-morning light at Limanagzi Bay often turns the water a striking blue, so it is worth setting an alarm if you enjoy a sunrise swim.
Day 3
Butterfly Valley to St. Nicholas Island
Hidayet Bay - Butterfly Valley - Blue Lagoon - St Nicholas Island. Your final full day at sea unfolds slowly and brightly, with a relaxed, sunlit rhythm. We begin the morning with coffee on deck as we cruise past Patara Beach, one of Turkey’s longest and most unspoilt stretches of sand. Breakfast is served while the coastline drifts by and the gulet continues westward.
Weather permitting, we drop anchor at Butterfly Valley, a natural sanctuary enclosed by steep cliffs with a small waterfall hidden deep within the canyon. You can enjoy a refreshing swim in the turquoise bay or simply relax on deck as the morning light fills the valley, a moment that often becomes a highlight of the journey.
We then continue to the Blue Lagoon at Oludeniz, one of the most photographed bays on the Turkish Riviera. You can swim, paddleboard, or float in the calm, clear water, while optional paragliding from Babadag Mountain offers an unforgettable aerial view of the coast for those seeking a bit of adventure.
After lunch at Soguksu Bay or Camel Beach, the pace eases even further. We sail towards St. Nicholas Island, our final overnight stop beside the ancient Byzantine church ruins. You can take the tender ashore for a short walk to the hilltop, where the sunset is among the most beautiful in Turkey, with the sky turning soft shades of gold and rose over the sea.
As evening settles, dinner is served on deck under the stars, with gentle music, good conversation, and the scent of the sea providing a fitting close to your journey. Comfortable shoes are useful for the short walk on St. Nicholas Island, and optional paragliding or watersports remain available for those who want to add a final touch of adventure to the day. The sunset from St. Nicholas Church is not to be missed.
Day 4
Fethiye
Your final morning on the Mediterranean invites you to savour every moment. We wake to the gentle sound of the sea and enjoy breakfast on deck as the gulet glides towards Tarzan Bay, a much-loved local spot set beneath pine-covered cliffs. You can take a refreshing morning swim, try the rope swing into the turquoise water, or simply relax with a coffee and the easy rhythm of the coast.
After a leisurely swim, we continue towards Samanlik Bay for lunch and your final chance to dip into the Mediterranean. It is a fitting farewell, with clear water, a warm breeze, and the unhurried beauty that has defined the Gulet Cruise experience from the start.
By mid-afternoon we return to Fethiye Harbour, arriving at around 16:00, where it is time to say goodbye to the crew and your fellow travellers. Farewells here are usually a mix of handshakes, hugs, and promises to meet again somewhere along Turkey’s blue coast. Keeping your swimwear handy is worthwhile, as a last swim or rope swing at Tarzan Bay offers the perfect final touch to the voyage.
Meals include breakfast and lunch, and disembarkation takes place at Fethiye Harbour at approximately 16:00.
