In Washington DC, take in monuments and memorials including the White House, Capitol Hill, and Arlington Cemetery before returning to New York.
Itinerary
Day 1
NYC to Niagara Falls
New York City - Niagara Falls. We depart New York City, heading north past the picturesque Delaware Water Gap, and continue to Watkins Glen State Park in the heart of the Finger Lakes region. Explore Watkins Glen Canyon and visit its stunning waterfalls before we proceed to Niagara Falls via Seneca Lake, arriving in the late afternoon (note: in winter, the itinerary includes a visit to Montour Falls instead of Watkins Glen State Park).
We tour the U.S. side of Niagara Falls, which includes attractions such as the American Falls, Goat Island, and Luna Island. In the evening, enjoy the mesmerizing, colourful lighting of Niagara Falls. We will be staying on either the US or Canadian side of the falls, depending on the departure.
Accommodation: Canada: Ramada by Wyndham or similar, USA: Comfort Inn The Pointe or similar.
Tour pick up: You will be collected for the start of your tour here: NYC Outside Port Authority side entrance - 330W 42nd (btw. 8th & 9th Ave.) New York at 6:30am. Please ensure you arrive in New York the day before your tour.
Day 2
Niagara Falls cruise, New York shopping & New Jersey
Niagara Falls - New Jersey. Upon leaving the hotel, we immerse ourselves in the sound of Niagara Falls' thundering waters. Enjoy an up-close view of the majestic Horseshoe Falls and experience its power aboard the Maid of the Mist, operational from May to October. From November to April, when the Maid of the Mist is closed, we instead tour the Power Vista Hydroelectric Station and visit the Cave of the Winds. At noon, we depart for New York State, with a shopping stop at a large outlet mall, where you can hunt for bargains at brand-name stores. We arrive in New Jersey by evening and check in to our hotel.

Day 3
Exploring Philadelphia
New Jersey - Philadelphia - Washington DC. Leaving New Jersey, we cross into Pennsylvania, heading towards Philadelphia, also known as the City of Brotherly Love. Arriving in Philadelphia's historic district, we visit the renowned Liberty Bell, a symbol of American freedom, as well as Independence National Park and Congress Hall. Stroll down Elfreth’s Alley, the oldest continuously inhabited street in America. Next, embark on an included panoramic tour of Philadelphia that includes landmarks such as the financial district, Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and Historic Philadelphia, among others.
It's then time to depart Philly, and we make a stop to see the famous "Rocky Steps" before travelling north to Lancaster County, home to the Amish community. Experience a ride on an authentic Amish buggy through Amish farm country and learn about their lifestyle, which functions without modern technology such as electricity, running water, telephone service, or appliances. Following the buggy ride, we visit the Amish marketplace to shop for handmade arts, crafts, and other products. Finally, we make our way to Washington D.C. for our overnight stay.

Day 4
Washington DC sightseeing
Washington DC - New York City. Today we take in the many iconic sights of Washington DC, capital of the United States. Our day begins at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, located by the Tidal Basin and surrounded by the renowned Japanese cherry blossom trees. Then we head to Arlington National Cemetery to witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony and visit the Kennedy family gravesides.
Our next destination is Capitol Hill, where we can view the US Capitol and the White House, gaining insights into the heart of the US government. Proceed to the National Air and Space Museum before visiting the Lincoln Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
In the late afternoon, we depart and make the journey northward, arriving in New York in the evening.
