Summary
Explore the Roman treasures of Merida and the grand boulevards of Seville on this short 3-day journey from Madrid. Departing the Spanish capital, we begin in Merida, where you have free time to admire its UNESCO-listed amphitheatre and other Roman ruins. Continuing south into the heart of Andalucia, arrive in Seville, with two nights and a mix of free time and guided sightseeing. End your tour with an included train ticket that takes you (unescorted) back to Madrid.
Itinerary
Day 1
Madrid to Merida & Seville
Madrid - Merida - Seville. Depart from our bus terminal at 7:45/8:00 am heading towards the region of Extremadura, arriving in Merida. Enjoy free time to explore its archaeological treasures, including a UNESCO-listed Roman amphitheatre. There's free time for lunch before we continue south to Andalucía, arriving in Seville, where dinner is included.
Please note: This tour is bi-lingual, and will be conducted in Spanish as well as in English.
Meeting Point: C. de Ferraz, 3, Moncloa - Aravaca, 28008 Madrid at 8:00.
Day 2
Exploring Seville
Begin your day with breakfast, followed by a morning city sightseeing tour. The tour includes visits to Maria Luisa Park, Plaza de Espana, the exterior of the city's stunning Cathedral, and its bell tower known as the Giralda. We also explore the charming neighborhood of Santa Cruz with its streets, squares, and narrow alleys. For an optional activity, you can choose to navigate the Guadalquivir River, enjoying panoramic views of the Gold Tower and Expo 92, or visit the Maestranza bullring. Lunch is at your leisure. In the evening, you have the option to attend a flamenco show.
Day 3
Return to Madrid
Seville - Madrid. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before spending some free time exploring this significant and monumental city on your own. In the late afternoon, make your own way to the train station to catch the AVE train back to Madrid. This marks the end of our services.
