Journey along the Rías Bajas coastline with stops at oyster farms and villages, then cross into Portugal to visit Viana do Castelo, Braga, and Porto, including a wine tasting. Continue to Coimbra’s historic university, visit the pilgrimage site of Fátima, and explore Lisbon’s historic quarters and landmarks. The tour ends with a visit to Cáceres’ medieval quarter before returning to Madrid.
Itinerary
Day 1
Madrid to Leon & Oviedo
Madrid- Leon - Oviedo. We depart from the bus terminal at 8:00 a.m., heading towards Leon, where you’ll have free time to explore some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Gothic Cathedral with its stunning stained glass windows, San Isidoro Church, and the Plateresque-style facade of San Marcos Hostal. We then continue our journey to Oviedo, where we will make our way to our accommodation for check-in and dinner.
Please note: This tour is bi-lingual and will be conducted in Spanish as well as in English.

Day 2
Exploring La Coruna
Oviedo - La Coruna. Today, we’ll depart from Oviedo towards the Galicia region, travelling through lush green landscapes and enjoying coastal views before arriving in La Coruña. On arrival, we’ll embark on a brief panoramic tour of the city.
In the afternoon, you have the option to take an excursion to the Rías Altas, visiting charming villages like Pontedeume and Betanzos along the way. Later, at the hotel, we will enjoy dinner.
Day 3
Santiago de Compostela City Tour
La Coruna - Santiago de Compostela. This morning, we will depart for Santiago de Compostela. On arrival, we’ll embark on a tour of this famed pilgrimage site, taking in the historic Plaza del Obradoiro and the magnificent Cathedral of Santiago, known for its Romanesque architecture and the tomb of St. James.
You will then have the afternoon at leisure to further explore the city, enjoy some food at a restaurant, or relax. Later, we will enjoy dinner.
Day 4
Santiago to Rias Bajas & Vigo
Santiago de Compostela - Rias Bajas - Vigo. Today, we depart for the Spanish Fjords region known as Rias Bajas, traveling through stunning landscapes and making a brief stop at La Toja Island.
In O Grove, there's an opportunity for an optional catamaran tour to view oyster and mussel farms, complete with tasting sessions for mussels and Ribeiro wine.
We then proceed to Vigo, where you'll have some free time. An optional excursion to Santa Tecla is available. After we will enjoy dinner at our accommodation.
Day 5
Vigo to Viana do Castelo, Braja & Porto
Vigo (Spain) - Viana do Castelo (Portugal) - Braga - Porto. After breakfast, we cross the Portuguese border and reach Viana do Castelo, a city situated between the mouth of the River Mino and Porto. You will have free time to explore the old town, which features cobbled streets and ornate buildings.
After our journey takes us to Braga, known as the city of archbishops and the third most populous city in Portugal, where you will also have free time to explore, grab a coffee at a cafe, or relax. We then depart for Porto, where we will stay overnight.
Day 6
Porto City Tour & Wine Tasting
After breakfast, we will venture out to explore Porto, recognised as a World Heritage city. We will enjoy a panoramic tour that includes visits to the cathedral with its striking Romanesque facade, the elegant neoclassical Stock Exchange building, and St. Clara Church, known for its beautiful, gilded interior.
The tour will conclude at a local wine cellar, where we can savor a tasting of the renowned Port wine. You'll then have free time to further explore the city, grab a meal or you can opt for a cruise along the Duero River.
Day 7
Porto to Coimbra
Porto - Coimbra. Today, we’ll depart from Porto and travel to Coimbra, home to one of Europe’s oldest universities and known as the birthplace of Portugal’s beloved Fado music, blending culture and tradition in a captivating way.
Here, we’ll enjoy lunch together, after which you’ll have the rest of the day free to explore at your own pace—whether that means wandering through the city’s charming streets, enjoying a coffee in a local café, or simply relaxing and taking in the atmosphere.
Day 8
Fatima & Lisbon
Coimbra - Fatima - Lisbon. This morning, we’ll depart for Fátima, an important pilgrimage destination that draws visitors worldwide. Upon arrival, you'll have free time to explore the Shrine, reflect, and soak in the spiritual atmosphere.
Afterward, we’ll continue our journey to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, beautifully situated at the mouth of the Tagus River. We’ll settle into our accommodation and get ready to experience the city's charms. Later in the evening, you can opt to join a night tour to enjoy a traditional Fado performance, showcasing Portugal’s beloved music.
Day 9
Lisbon City Tour
After breakfast, we embark on a city sightseeing tour including the historic Alfama Quarter with its winding streets and traditional houses, the iconic Tower of Belém overlooking the Tagus River, and the impressive Jerónimos Monastery, a masterpiece of Manueline architecture. We'll also take in panoramic views from Edward VII Park’s hilltop viewpoint, stroll through Rossio Square and Liberdade Avenue, and pass through the traditional Madragoa District, the birthplace of Fado music.
The afternoon is free for you to explore Lisbon at your own pace. You may also choose to join an optional excursion to Sintra, Estoril, or Cascais.
Day 10
Lisbon to Caceres & Madrid
Lisbon (Portugal) - Caceres (Spain) - Madrid. We’ll begin our day with breakfast before departing for the Spanish border and continuing to Cáceres. You’ll have free time to explore its Plaza Mayor and wander through the old city, known for its remarkably preserved medieval quarter—a recognised World Heritage site. You will then have time to grab lunch before we continue our journey back to Madrid, where our tour will conclude.
You will dropped on Ferraz Street, near the Plaza de Espana at approximately 17:30, though this time is subject to external factors such as traffic and passenger delays.
