Itinerary

  • Day 1

Arrival at Destination – Luka Sipanska

    • 1.15 hours

Arrive in the beautiful city of Dubrovnik and head to Gruz Harbour for the group meeting at 4:00 pm. A guide or representative will greet you, provide the tickets, and help you get on the ferry departing at 4:30 pm. The ferry ride takes one hour and fifteen minutes.

Meet with the guide and the rest of the group in the early evening to go over the itinerary and the plans for the following day. You can discover the communal spirit through the game of bocce ball, a beloved pastime in this area. Witness or join locals gathering each evening for a friendly game, highlighting the warmth that defines Sipan.

  • Day 2

Explore Sipan Island, Easy Cycling Through Villages

    • 2 hours

Sudjurad and Luka Sipanska, only two remaining villages on the island, are connected by a quiet road ideal for cycling. You will go through olive groves and old villas from the Dubrovnik Republic. Fun fact: Sipan is in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most olive trees for its size. The island is quiet and has low traffic, so you will be able to peacefully cycle through its roads, exploring untouched nature, hidden churches and stop at the locals offering oil, wine and cake tasting.

  • Day 3

    Get Ready To Enjoy Paddleboarding!

    • 2 hours

It’s our first day on the crystal clear and calm water and we try out our paddleboards. Paddleboarding or stand up paddleboarding is a modern warter sport that involves standing on an inflatable board and using a paddle to propell yourself through the water. SUP is a fun activity even for beginners and is a great way to practice your balance. We will explore the bay of Sipanska Luka and make sure there is plenty of time for swimming along the way.

  • Day 4

    Elaphiti Islands Sea Kayaking

    • 2 hours

The Elaphiti Islands are a paradise for sea kayaking and snorkelling. We set out from Luka Sipanska, paddling west towards Jakljan, Tajan, and Olipa islands. These islands offer hidden beaches indented coastlines, perfect for exploration. All three are uninhabited and their beaches can only be accessed from a small boat or kayak, resulting in several secluded beaches and a rich, undisturbed underwater world.

If you have never tried sea kayaking, don't worry. Beginners are very welcome. The kayaks are stable, you'll have a life jackt of course and the guides will teach you all you need to know. You won't be left alone on the water and we can assure you, you're in good hands.

Accommodation: 3/4*** studio apartment in Luka Sipanska; Meals: B; kayaking: 2 hours, moderate

  • Day 5

Beach Day Or A Dubrovnik Visit

Take a break today and unwind: spend time on Sipan’s beaches, enjoy a hike or take a paddleboard for another practice run. This is also a great day to go and visit Dubrovnik if you do not have any extra time to visit before or after the tour. Enjoy sightseeing, shopping in ancient streets, and walking along city walls. Take an optional boat ride to Lokrum, the “cursed island” near Dubrovnik with its Benedictine monastery, botanical garden, small lake popularly known as the “Dead Sea” and Fort Royal Castle. Finally, catch up with the group and spend a relaxing evening on Sipan and enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine i one of the local bars.

Accommodation: 3/4*** studio apartment in Luka Sipanska; Meals: B.

  • Day 6

Exploring The Island Of Lopud, Hiking & Cycling

    • 3-4 hours

Today we hop on our bikes again for a quick trip across the island to Sudjuradj. Your guide will accompany you on the ride and provide tickets, as well as information about the island you are about to explore on your own today: Lopud. Lopud has many beautiful walking routes that take one from the shore to the top of the island and back. This island’s true treasures are its tiny churches and an ancient fort strategically located at one of its highest points. In the past it served as an observation point and was used to protect the island’s safety.

Descend to the natural sand beach Sunj for a relaxing day, where you can visit seaside restaurants with a sea swing and hammocks nestled in the forest, an ideal place to enjoy a drink in the island’s tranquillity. Catch a ferry back to Sipan in the afternoon and bike back to Luka Sipanska.

Accommodation: 3/4*** studio apartment in Luka Sipanska; Meals: B; Walking: 2-3 h, easy; Ferry: 15 min each way

  • Day 7

    Cycling and Kolocep Island Exploration

    • 4 hours

Back on our bikes today for another quick ride to Sudjuradj. Like the day before, the guide will provide tickets and instructions as you head to Kolocep, the third of the inhabited Elaphiti Islands. Interesting for its dramatic scenery with rocky beaches, high cliffs, turquoise bays and colorful reefs, Kolocep offers a great getaway. There are no cars on this tiny island so the walk through the villages will be very enjoyable. On your walk across the island you will encounter many architectural remnants, witnesses of the turbulent history of the area: an old pre-Romantic chapel, ruins of a basilica, summer homes of Dubrovnik nobility, Napoelon’s fort, and more. Return to the island for one last evening and share your impressions of the day and the week with new friends you made over the course of the week.

  • We had an amazing time on a girl's trip this fall. The staff was amazing, the itinerary was just right with a mix of free/lounge time and activities. The food at each port spot was fresh, delicious and authentically local. The bike ride in the national park was a highlight. Cannot reco.ment this company enough. They went above and beyond (even getting sunglasses I left behind back to the US for me). Really hope I have the opportunity to tour with them again.
