Croatia Active Family Adventure - 8 Days

Welcome to Croatia and the start of your adventure! You'll be met at the airport for the short transfer to Dubrovnik Harbour where you'll catch the ferry to Lopud Island (check our brochure for details of the timetable - depending on your arrival time you may have a bit of time to explore the city) The ferry takes around an hour so sit back and admire the view of the mainland with sparkling seas in the foreground and the mountains in the background. Once you arrive, you'll transfer to a comfortable, local guesthouse. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure and get excited about your upcoming adventure.

After breakfast, you'll meet your kayaking instructor to collect your gear for the week and then after a safety briefing and introduction to kayaking, you're out onto the water. Today you'll be padding around Lopud to Sunj Beach, passing towering cliffs as you make you way over the blue waters. Unlike most beaches in Croatia, Sunj Beach is a sand beach so when you arrive you'll have free time to relax on the sands, swim in the clear, shallow waters or relax in the shade with a well-deserved drink! It'll take around 3 hours to get here and you'll cover 6km, but you'll leave your kayaks here and make your way back by foot, the walk taking around 25 minutes.

After breakfast, join your guide for the walk back over to Sunj Beach where it's back into your kayak for today's adventure! You'll be paddling across the channel to Kolocep Island, enjoying amazing views of cliffs and the turquoise Adriatic sea as the sun shines down. Your first stop is the Blue Cave, an amazing spot for swimming and snorkelling so you'll have some free time to enjoy this beautiful place. Afterwards, you'll continue to kayak around the island to the small village of Gornje Celo where you'll stop for an included lunch and then can either relax on the beach or explore some more of the island on foot. You'll paddle back to Lopud later this afternoon ending the day on Sunj Beach. In total you'll have paddled for around 3 hours covering 6km, with around 3 hours to snorkel, swim or relax on the beach. For families with younger children this trip can be by boat.

After breakfast this morning it's time for a little more relaxing day after yesterdays adventures. Stand up Paddle board practice and play is included then you can relax on the beach, swim snorkel or fish or perhaps take the time to explore the island. As Lopud is car-free it makes a great, safe choice for some hiking with the family. Later, we go on sunset kayaking from Sunj beach to Lopud village.

After a few days exploring the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic, it's time for an adventure on 2 wheels. With your guide you'll take the short ferry from Lopud to the neighbouring island of Šipan and spend the day cycling. They'll be plenty of stops and lunch on the way before you return to Lopud for the evening.

Kayaking from Lopud island to Green cave and Sudurac village on Sipan island. We will swim and snorkel into the Green cave, visiting a beautiful natural stone arch. We will continue paddling for 20 more minutes to the first village on Sipan island, where we will have time for lunch. After lunch, we will have some swimming and siesta time then we will kayak around Ruda Island back to Lopud.

Today is at your leisure to enjoy some family time! You could choose to explore Lopud further, relax on the beach, or take the ferry to Dubrovnik and spend the day exploring the city. Enjoy your final night on the island and look back on a week of making memories!

Sadly your adventure has reached the end (for now...) so after breakfast you'll take the ferry back to the mainland and be transferred to Dubrovnik Airport.
