Summary
Set off on a five-day adventure from Spain’s sunny Costa del Sol to Morocco’s vibrant cities and back again. Cross the legendary Strait of Gibraltar to explore Tangier’s souks, Rabat’s grand monuments and Casablanca’s oceanfront charm. Discover Marrakesh in depth, from its ornate palaces and lively Jemaa el Fna Square to the colours of its bustling souks. Journey north via Mohammedia’s coastal views before returning across the strait to Spain. With a mix of history, culture and coastal scenery, this tour offers an unforgettable taste of Morocco’s magic in just a few days.
Itinerary
Day 1
Costa del Sol to Casablanca
Costa del Sol - Tangier (Morocco) - Rabat - Casablanca. Early morning departure from the Costa del Sol to Tarifa, where we board the ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco. Arrive in Tangier and enjoy a short orientation walk around the port area with free time to experience the local souk and historic medina atmosphere. We continue south to Rabat, Morocco’s elegant capital, to visit the impressive Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Later, we journey onward to Casablanca — Morocco’s cosmopolitan coastal city
Please note: This tour is bi-lingual, and will be conducted in Spanish as well as in English.
Only one piece of luggage per person is permitted on this tour and passengers are responsible for carrying their own luggage through customs formalities. Passport details must be provided at least 72 hours prior to departure for ferry and border control requirements. Meeting Point: Hotel Sol Principe, P.º del Colorado, 26, 29620 Torremolinos, Málaga at 6:30.
Day 2
Highlights of Casablanca
Casablanca - Marrakech. After breakfast, we explore the highlights of Casablanca on a panoramic tour, including a stop at the stunning Hassan II Mosque (optional interior visit available – paid locally). Then we travel inland to the ochre city of Marrakesh. The afternoon is free to explore the medina or discover the vibrant Jemaa el Fna Square with its storytellers, musicians and market life.
Day 3
Discover Marrakesh
Today we enjoy a guided tour of Marrakesh. Highlights include the beautiful Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque (exterior view), and the serene Menara Gardens. We also wander through the colourful souks, famous for traditional handicrafts and buzzing local life, before returning to Jemaa el Fna Square. The afternoon is at leisure – perhaps visit a rooftop café, or relax in a traditional hammam (optional).
Day 4
Marrakesh, Mohammedia and Tangier
Marrakesh - Mohammedia - Tangier. Leaving Marrakesh, we travel north to the laid-back Atlantic town of Mohammedia. Once a small fishing port, today it is known for its sandy beaches and relaxed coastal charm. Free time for lunch here before continuing to Tangier. Evening at leisure.
Day 5
Farewell Morocco
Tangier - Tarifa(Spain) - Costa del Sol . After breakfast, we head to the port for the ferry crossing back to Spain. Arrival in Tarifa and transfer to the Costa del Sol where our tour ends.
Please note: On most departures, the tour ends in the Costa del Sol town of Torremolinos - the exact drop off point and time will be communicated to you.
