Visit the Sanctuary of Covadonga and the historic city of Oviedo, before concluding in Salamanca, where elegant squares and golden sandstone buildings capture the essence of Castile.
Itinerary
Day 1
Barcelona to Zaragoza & Pamplona
Barcelona - Zaragoza - Pamplona. Once you have arrived in Barcelona, make your way to the meeting point before 7:45 a.m. We depart from our bus terminal at 8:00 a.m. and begin our journey towards Zaragoza. After a short stop, you will have some free time to visit the impressive Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar, the Patroness of the Hispanic world and one of Spain’s most important pilgrimage sites.
We then continue north to Pamplona, a city renowned for the vibrant San Fermín festival and its beautifully preserved old quarter. We will make our way to our accommodation and enjoy dinner,
Please note: This tour is bilingual, and will be conducted in Spanish as well as in English.

Day 2
Coastal Journey to Santander
Pamplona - San Sebastián - Bilbao - Santander. This morning, we depart from Pamplona and head towards San Sebastián, a sophisticated seaside city admired for its elegance and charm. You will have free time to enjoy a walk along La Concha Bay or explore the characterful old town, known for its lively atmosphere and excellent pintxos bars.
We then continue to Bilbao, capital of the province of Biscay, pausing briefly to admire the remarkable Guggenheim Museum building, a masterpiece of contemporary architecture. Our journey then takes us to Santander, where we will enjoy dinner.
Day 3
Santander to Oviedo
Santander - Santillana del Mar - Covadonga - Oviedo. Today, we leave Santander and travel to Santillana del Mar, a beautifully preserved medieval town renowned for its cobbled streets and stone houses, recognised as a National Monument for its historic charm.
We then journey through the rolling landscapes of northern Spain to reach Covadonga, where you will have free time to visit the revered Sanctuary nestled in the foothills of the Picos de Europa. Our day concludes in Oviedo, the elegant capital of Asturias, known for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere.
Day 4
Salamanca & Madrid
Oviedo - Salamanca - Madrid. After our final breakfast, we depart for Salamanca, a city celebrated for its golden sandstone architecture and lively university atmosphere. During a short stop, you will have free time to explore the historic centre and admire the splendid Baroque-style Plaza Mayor, one of the most beautiful squares in Spain. We then continue our journey to Madrid, where our tour concludes upon arrival.
