Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
On arrival at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be met by our representative, who will assist with formalities before transferring you to your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.After check-in, our representative will review your itinerary with you and confirm pick-up times for each tour.
Day 2
Day Trip to Alexandria
After breakfast, we travel to Alexandria for a full-day tour. We begin at Pompey’s Pillar, erected in honour of Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century and originally part of the Serapeum temple complex.Next, explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt, carved across three levels of rock. After lunch at a local restaurant, we visit the 15th-century Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of Alexandria’s ancient lighthouse - one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We then return to Cairo.
Day 3
Coptic Cairo & the Alabaster Mosque
Today we visit the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali, a striking Ottoman-style landmark completed in 1848 that has dominated Cairo’s skyline for over a century. We then explore some of Cairo’s most significant Christian and Jewish heritage sites, including the Hanging Church, St Sergius Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue – all connected to the traditions of the Holy Family’s time in Egypt. Return to your hotel for the evening.
Day 4
Memphis, Saqqara & Joseph’s Storehouses
This morning, we drive to the ancient capital of Memphis, founded around 3,100 BC by King Menes. While here, we’ll view the impressive statue of Ramses II. We continue to Saqqara, one of Egypt’s most important archaeological sites, home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser – the oldest known pyramid in Egypt. Later, we head to the Fayoum region, believed to be linked to the Biblical story of Joseph. You’ll see remnants of ancient granaries and a man-made lake created for irrigation during times of famine.
Day 5
Giza Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum
Today we visit the iconic Pyramids of Giza - Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos - and the Great Sphinx, guarding the plateau for thousands of years. We then head to the Grand Egyptian Museum, located just 2 km from the pyramid complex, which houses a vast collection of ancient artefacts and modern exhibitions. Return to your hotel afterwards.
Day 6
Departure from Cairo
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your return flight.
