Day 1
Tallinn
Welcome to your adventure in Tallinn! Upon arrival, we'll arrange your transfer to the hotel, allowing you some time to relax and explore the surroundings at your own pace. This afternoon, please check the information boards at the hotel reception for essential details about the commencement of your journey with us. Get ready to immerse yourself in this historic city rich in culture and awaiting your discovery. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2
Tallinn
On your second day in Tallinn, you'll discover the charm of Estonia's capital � a city renowned for its beautifully preserved medieval core. We'll embark on a panoramic tour, revealing Tallinn's enchanting city walls, historic churches, vibrant squares, and winding cobbled streets, all teeming with captivating sights and attractions. The afternoon is yours to explore further at your leisure, whether you choose to delve deeper into the city's rich history, sample local cuisine, or enjoy the spirited atmosphere of this delightful city.
Day 3
Tallinn
Today we set off from Tallinn, journeying through lush forests and expansive plains to reach P�rnu, a renowned seaside resort. Continuing our travels, we cross into Latvia � our next stop. You'll savour an included lunch before we explore the medieval Turaida Castle, set amidst a park adorned with sculptures. Afterwards, you're free to wander the quaint town of Sigulda, nestled in a picturesque landscape. Our journey proceeds towards Riga, pausing at the Salaspils Memorial. Located on the site of a former WWII concentration camp, since 1967, it's been one of Europe's largest commemorative complexes, honouring the victims of the Nazi regime. Arriving in Riga by evening, you'll have the chance to rest and reflect on the day's explorations.
Day 4
Riga
On Day 4, we have an exciting panoramic tour of Riga, the vibrant capital of Latvia and the largest city in the Baltic states. Known for its rich cultural heritage, Riga still exhibits remnants of its Soviet past. During the morning, you�ll experience the city�s enchanting mix of medieval charm in its Historic Centre alongside striking Art Nouveau architecture. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure�you can explore the city further, perhaps delving into local cafes, shops, or museums, offering a deeper appreciation of this remarkable city.
Day 5
Riga
We set off early this morning towards Lithuania. Our first stop is the magnificent Rundale Palace, an epitome of Baroque grandeur designed by the same architect who created Saint Petersburg's Hermitage Museum. After soaking in its splendour, we journey onwards and cross the border into Lithuania. The country is deeply rooted in its Catholic heritage, which is powerfully symbolised by the Hill of Crosses, a vast collection of crosses of every imaginable size. Lunch is included during our route today. Later, you will have the opportunity to visit Trakai, a picturesque castle perched on an island within a tranquil lake near Vilnius. Our day concludes upon arrival in Vilnius. Note that, depending on how much daylight remains, the visit to Trakai may be rescheduled for Wednesday following our exploration of the city.
Day 6
Vilnius
Today, we'll embark on a panoramic tour of Vilnius, a city artfully nestled among seven hills, drawing comparisons to Rome for its scenic charm. As we meander through the city, you�ll be captivated by magnificent Baroque churches, remnants of historic walls, and the imposing castle that speaks to the city�s storied past. The tour will also take us along vibrant commercial streets bustling with energy and charm, alongside 1,200 medieval houses that have witnessed centuries of history. In the afternoon, you�re free to continue exploring at your own pace, uncovering hidden gems and enjoying the local culture in this captivating capital.
Day 7
Vilnius
We shall journey onward to Poland today, beginning with a visit to Grutas Park, famously known as "Stalin�s World." This unique park is home to 86 statues from the Soviet era, offering a fascinating insight into the region's history. We will then pause for lunch in the picturesque lakeside town of August�w, known for its serene beauty. Following our stop, we'll head further into the heart of Poland, arriving in Warsaw by evening, ready to explore this vibrant city.
Day 8
Warsaw
We'll begin our exploration of Warsaw with an engaging panoramic tour guided by a local expert. As the bustling heart of Poland, Warsaw is a city where contemporary architecture stands alongside beautifully restored historic edifices. We'll wander through the picturesque old town, admiring its quaint buildings, the Royal Palace, and charming cobbled streets, all restored after their wartime destruction and now honoured as a World Heritage Site. Our tour includes a visit to the Palace of Culture, an impressive skyscraper given as a gift by the Soviet Union. We'll take time to reflect on the history of the city�s once vast Jewish ghetto and enjoy a meander through ?azienki Park, where you'll find the Chopin Monument. The afternoon is yours to discover the city at your own pace. You might choose to visit the fascinating museums like the National Museum or the Warsaw Rising Museum, or perhaps explore the vibrant city centre, full of shops and various activities.
Day 9
Warsaw
Following breakfast, we will conclude our tour, leaving you with cherished memories of your journey.
