About The United Kingdom
The United Kingdom has a lot to offer, maybe we would say that as this is our home but with four nations and tremendous differences in landscape throughout the land there is something for everyone here. It’s worth mentioning at the outset that here in the UK we have four distinct seasons and whilst the summer can be very pleasant competing with mainland Europe the winters can be cold. Its also worth mentioning that there is quite a difference in temperature between the south of Cornwall and London to the North of Scotland and especially the highlands. So if you’re planning trip, take into account the weather as this may affect your timings and whats on offer.
Walking and Cycling adventures are popular int he UK but there are also many water based trips especially in the south west where the beaches and weather tend to be generally better than the rest of the UK with the exception of some beaches in Scotland which are like a paradise particularly the beaches of Lewis and Harris on the Hebridean islands. Sailing, surfing and kayaking are very popular with paddle boarding becoming more common. Camping is also very popular but probably better in spring / summer and early autumn, winter is not for the faint of heart!
The Lake District, now a UNESCO World Heritage site and the Peak District offer wonderful walking but there are many areas not to be missed.
As the UK is a relatively small island then with enough time one can manage to see many different areas by car, rail or plane.
We have a selection of trips below and are always looking out for more. We can help arrange any car hire, hotel stays etc which you may want to to add one, just contact us.
